German for Academic Purposes

Would you like to learn German and acquire communicative competences that are invaluable for your studies at the University of Basel? Then this course is for you! Besides improving your German language skills, you will have the opportunity to get to know fellow students, the University and the town.

What?	German for Academic Purposes consists of two compulsory modules (you can acquire 3 credit points)
Who?	Swiss-educated first-year students who are non-native speakers of German. After your binding registration, you must take a placement test that will determine whether or not you are admitted to the course.
When?	September 13–17, 2021: Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 4:15 pm During the fall semester: Monday 4:15 pm – 5:45 pm Schedule subject to change.

Costs	To be announced. The number of participants is limited. Interested participants are admitted in the order of registration received. Participants are required to buy a compulsory script at the beginning of the course.
