It’s the final countdown: Basel, Switzerland, and the three-border region are
intensively preparing for the giant musical event, the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC),
in Basel on 10–17 May: https://eurovision.tv/event/basel-2025
We’re getting into the ESC spirit with a special pub quiz on 7 May at Bar Verso in the Kollegienhaus. With highlights from the last seven decades of the ESC, we will refresh our ESC knowledge and introduce newcomers to the best and most interesting stories from the contest. Our UNIversal Song Contest pub quiz will also look beyond Europe and feature music and artists from around the world who have never been part of the ESC. It will be a unique opportunity to discover and celebrate the diversity at our university through music.We are greatly looking forward to welcoming you to this event!

🎤 the university collaborates with institutions throughout Europe and the world and is currently engaged in exchanges with over four hundred partner organizations (MoveOn);
🎤 every year the university welcomes new students from around the world;
🎤 and it sends students across the world to deepen their studies and broaden their horizons internationally;
🎤 its alumni become Basel’s ambassadors to the world as they continue with the next steps in their careers;
🎤 the Language Center supports the university in crossing borders with its diverse courses ranging from Arabic and German to Japanese and Spanish.
